Wireless Accessory / Multi-function DCC decoder for signals, switches and other layout elements

Details

A wireless accessory DCC/WCC sound decoder is a small circuit that controls signals, turnouts, level crossings, and other layout elements using DCC (Digital Command Control), WCC (Wireless Command Control, check more info in our Documentation), or just a web browser. This module can be used with DC, AC, or battery. Read more information about connections and how to upload new logic, and sounds and create layout automation in our Knowledge Base.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: 67mm x 34mm x 8mm
  • 16 outputs for LEDs and other loads that can be controlled by LED driver

What you can control/create with Loco.Engineering accessory decoder

  • Signals and other elements with LEDs
  • Up to 6 servo motors without additional boards
  • Control RGB LEDs
  • Play audio that can be uploaded to the decoder over the air from a web browser
  • Control up to 8 brushed DC motors (a brushed DC motor driver board is required)
  • Control up to 8 switches (points) with double solenoids (a MOSFET driver board is required)
  • Control up to 8 switches (points) with single solenoids, for example, Kato and Tomix switches (a brushed DC motor driver board is required)
  • Handle interrupts from external sources (for example, handle block occupancy detection)
  • Connect NFC readers and detect when a particular train reaches a location
  • Connect sensors over I2C, SPI, or UART
  • Connect a display to play video
  • Automate your layout with complex interactions
  • Develop your own remote controllers/boards to control the layout
  • Develop your own firmware and apps
